David
completed his
degree in Biochemistry at Queens University, Belfast in 1990 and went
on to study for his MSc in Computing and Information Systems at the
University of Ulster the following Year. His first job was as a
researcher in NIKEL in 1993 and he began studying for his DPhil in
1996. In 1999 he took up an academic post at the university of Ulster
in the Faculty of Informatics and became Director of NIKEL in 2000. His
research interests include data mining, machine learning, case-based
reasoning and information retrieval and he has published 41 papers in
these areas. |
